Black Moleskin Informal Lined C20th Jacket (JA1920)
These jackets have been one of the most difficult garments to get right. We were determined to design a garment for 1920's productions but in historic terms they can be worn by working class characters from late C19th to present day.
Ā As with all our garments, they are designed primarily for costume professionals but constructed for everyday use so these jackets will become a much loved staple in any contemporary wardrobe.
So many modern jackets have too much structure, shoulder pads, fused canvases and wadding. We have stripped out any inessentials in order to create the perfect relaxed "Geography Teacher" look.Ā
They are made in England from 100% cotton with all cotton lining. The sleeve lining is a traditional stripe.
Two comfortable front jetted pockets with flaps and one breast pocket.
There is also an inside breast pocket.
Matching trousers and waistcoats are available.
